Advertising and affiliate disclosure
Last updated: October 1, 2026. Nothing on this page changes prices for you.
Today: no ads, no affiliate programs
HackNews currently shows no advertising and takes part in no affiliate program. Every external link is a plain link, with no commission involved.
How paid links will be marked
If we join an affiliate program (for example, a game store or a bookshop), the affected links carry the browser attribute rel="sponsored", a short disclosure line appears right next to them ("affiliate link: we may earn a commission"), and the program is listed on this page. The price you pay is the same; the store pays us a small commission. Editorial opinions are never sold: we only join programs for products and stores we would recommend anyway.
How ads will be marked
If we join an ad network, ads will appear only in the reserved spaces already built into the pages, clearly separated from editorial content, and never before your consent choice in the cookie banner. The network will be listed here with a link to its privacy policy, and the file ads.txt at the site root will identify our authorized sellers.
Your data
Advertising and affiliate partners may use cookies only after you allow them in the cookie banner. See the privacy policy for the general rules and your rights under Brazil's LGPD.
