Addon tier list · day one
WoW: Forever addon tier list
WoW: Forever runs on the modern WoW client, so the new API limits apply: addons can't read the combat log, and many combat numbers reach them locked. That's why only a file marked Forever works; a Classic or Classic Era file won't load. We checked every addon below on its CurseForge page on October 31, 2026.
Tier list
- QuestieTheCrux_BB e equipe QuestieMarks quest givers, turn-ins and objective areas on the map and minimap. With 1,000+ new quests in Forever, it's the easiest way to find them all.Use the official project only; other authors have uploaded 'Questie Forever' copies.
- Leatrix PlusLeatrixA light settings panel (/ltp) with automation: quest accept and turn-in, junk selling, repairs, accepting summons and resurrections.Make sure the app installed the file ending in -forever.
- BaganatorplusmouseCategory or single-bag views, and shows items on your alts and in the bank without relogging.Needs Syndicator; the CurseForge app installs it for you.
- AuctionatorplusmouseAuction prices in tooltips, shopping lists and one-key selling that warns you when a price is too low. It's the stand-in for TSM, which has no Forever build yet.
- ForeverThreatLoyftwaAn Omen-style threat meter with tank, DPS and healer modes. Blizzard's built-in meter doesn't show threat. For tanks, it's S tier.Another addon uses the same name; check the author.
- ThreatClassic2dfherrThe long-running Classic threat meter, now with a Forever build. Pick this or ForeverThreat, not both.Healer mode doesn't work on Forever: target the enemy to see its threat.
- Forever MeterDldvlprOne window for damage, healing, damage taken and threat, built on Blizzard's damage meter API.Percentages and spell breakdowns show only after the fight; restart the game after installing.
- EllesmereUI Forever EssentialsEllesmereA threat meter and flight timers without replacing your whole UI. It's from EllesmereUI, not ElvUI.Still marked beta by its author.
- Enhance QoLR41Z0RA big pack of small tweaks you switch on one by one: fast loot, junk selling with allow and block lists, auto-repair, a minimap button bin and a drink macro. It overlaps Leatrix Plus: turn each feature on in one addon only.
- What's Training?FusionpitA spellbook tab listing the spells you can train now and later, with costs. On Forever it also lists trainer recipes for professions.Helps you decide whether to go back to the trainer now or in two levels.
- Forever Quest TintxanastarTints the text of quests that weren't in original Classic and marks their names with an infinity sign./fqt opens the color options; /fqt id says whether the open quest is a vanilla one.
- DialogKey (Numy Edition)NumyAccept and hand in quests with the space bar and pick NPC options with number keys. Tiny, but it saves a lot of clicking. The original DialogKey stopped in 2019; only the Numy Edition has a Forever build.
- AtlasLoot Classic ForeverSliccerDungeon and raid loot tables and best-in-slot lists per class, inside the game. The original AtlasLootClassic has no Forever build.
- GatherLiteWuildShows 26,000+ herb, ore and fishing pool spots on the map and draws a gathering loop per zone.Routes are straight lines: they ignore terrain and other players.
- Deadly Boss Modsequipe DBMBoss timers and warnings for dungeons and raids.Use DBM or BigWigs, never both.
- DialogueUIPeterodoxReplaces the quest window with a cinematic dialog screen, with the camera on the NPC and keyboard and gamepad support.Gorgeous, but it slows speed-leveling. You can turn the camera off.
- ChattynatorplusmouseChat with themes, timestamps and 2,500+ messages of history kept between sessions.
- ElvUIElv / TukuiReplaces the whole interface. It got initial Forever support in version 16.00 (October 13, 2026).Not on CurseForge, only on tukui.org. It has no threat meter of its own.
- Details!TerciobThe best-known damage meter. On Forever it reuses Blizzard's meter data, so it's mostly a nicer view rather than its own math.
- DFL Dungeon JournalBoshedaA Forever dungeon and raid journal with search across bosses, items, quests and recipes.Overlaps AtlasLoot; pick one.
- OpenMapjiforeverStitches the zone maps into one continuous world map in the classic style. Questie pins still show.Still a beta; turn off other map addons.
- Plater NameplatesTerciob / cont1nuityHighly customizable nameplates. Most useful for tanks.
- Bartender4nevcairielConfigurable action bars. The modern client's Edit Mode already covers most needs.
- RestedXP GuideRestedXPA step-by-step leveling route in game. Levels 1 to 20 are free; the full guide is paid.
- SpokenrustykeyAI-generated voices for quests, zones and books. Large, optional voice packs.Rather avoid AI voices? Forever TTS uses the game's own text-to-speech.
- TradeSkillMasterNo Forever build as of October 31. Don't install the Classic file; use Auctionator.
- Musca Auras (WeakAuras)DldvlprOfficial WeakAuras has no Forever build. This fork exists, but combat-log triggers never fire.
- OmniCCNo Forever build, and the client already shows cooldown numbers.
How to install without errors
- Install the CurseForge app (or WowUp) and pick the WoW Forever game version. Its folder is separate from Retail and Classic.
- Search for the addon and check that the installed file says Forever. A Classic Era file won't load.
- In game, open the character screen, click AddOns and only allow out-of-date addons if something breaks.
- ElvUI isn't on CurseForge: get it from tukui.org.
- After the launch patch, update everything again. Authors are shipping new versions almost daily.

Settings worth changing
- Threat without an addon: in the nameplate options, turn on threat coloring. You'll see when you're pulling a mob off the tank.
- Questie: if its tracker clutters the screen, keep Blizzard's tracker and use Questie on the map only.
- DialogueUI: press F1 for its options and turn off the camera zoom if it bothers you.
- Auctionator: on the Selling tab, click an item and press space to post it; it tells you when the vendor price beats the auction price.
- Chattynator: a transparent background and a short fade free up the screen.
- Leatrix Plus + Enhance QoL: pick one addon for looting, junk and repairs. Turned on in both, they fight each other.
What changed for addons
Forever runs on current WoW code, with the limits Blizzard added so that addons stop being mandatory. In practice:
- Addons can't read the combat log. Damage meters show the data from the game's own meter.
- During a fight, many values can be displayed but not compared or added up. Percentages and breakdowns show up after combat.
- WeakAuras triggers based on the combat log don't work.
- The game has its own damage meter but no threat meter. That's why a threat meter ranks high on this list.
Versions and compatibility checked on October 31, 2026, before the November 4 launch. Addons change fast: check the file date before installing.
